I’m back from my sunny vacation to Barbados (if you haven’t been you should go)! Before I get back into full blog mode this is just something I came across which I thought was awesome and wanted to do a quick hit about.
How sick are these things!? Real wood sunglasses by Shwood! I’ve seen sunglasses made to “look” like wood before but never have I seen actual wood sunglasses. I love that Shwood made them look trendy too and not like some hippity-dippity sunglasses made out of bark by some woodsman named Gerard from Quebec.
The Canby model, which is pictured above, as well as the more squarish Govy model are entirely hand crafted out of Shwood’s Portland-based workshop. You can purchase the glasses in Wenge, Maple, or Zebrawood, and also choose what type of Carl Zeiss lenses you want. And at $95US this all seems pretty reasonable to me.
Now remember they are made out of real wood so you might want to leave these at home when you go for a dip in the pool or if you are near an open flame. Yikes!
